The West Oakland Church of Christ has a custom logo. The logo is used in the bulletin, on the website, leadership business cards, banners, email signatures, desktop background, etc. The logo is a custom design that was influenced by the vision of the leadership. The logo symbolizes the growth, spiritual gifts process, and baptismal redemption through Christ. The seven stones represent the seven spiritual gifts, the red represents the blood of Christ, the water is that of baptism, the figures
in the middle depict growth (a person being baptized), and the radiant sun in the middle represents the light of God and the fact that we are the light of the world.
Our ultimate goal is to be unified in intentional ministry purpose. We want every member knowing and living the mission, vision, three priority areas, and functions of the congregation. We’re not striving to do several things with mediocrity. We seek to do three things exceptionally. Our mission is to go T.E.A.CH. (Tell Everyone About CHrist) and L.I.F.T. (Labor In Fellowship Together)
Every member of the West Oakland church of Christ will enhance intimate congregational communion, while having an active presence in the community as biblically equipped saints engaged in life-changing evangelism.
Congregational Priority Areas
The sharing of the gospel of Christ, declaring the kingdom of God and bearing witness as disciples of Christ to the world at large and to individuals in need of a reconciliatory relationship with Him.
Community Outreach Defined:
Intense community interaction through direct and indirect engagement in an effort to increase and strengthen church and community relationships by providing services of a spiritual and holistic nature.
The preferring and koinonia of like-minded saints of God whose loving tentacles embrace and influence the kingdom, family, and friends.
