The Word for My Wounds

The Word for My Wounds
Jeremiah 8:20-22

The love of God is refreshingly and powerfully revealed through His spiritual and medicinal healing of the broken, plundered, shackled, and wounded. The Messiah came to preach to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, and preach deliverance to the captives. In addition, He came to bring sight to the blind and liberty to the bruised (Luke 4:18). The ministry of Jesus is one of healing. It transcends atonement and travels into absolute remission. Praise His Holy Name!

Jesus said, “…They that are whole need not a physician: but they that are sick (Luke 5:31). Is there anyone who is whole? Is there anyone that is free from historical blemish? Is there anyone who has nothing within them that Jesus needs to heal? Every person in the world, Christians and non-Christians stand in need of the skilled precision of the Master Physician.

Christ works on the inside. His Word is sharp. It is piercing, cutting through soul, spirit, joints, marrow, and analyzes the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). Jesus deals with the interior and not the exterior. Jesus does not heal the jaded soul that believes he/she is healthy, He works with those who are in touch with the fact that they need a Physician. You would not put healing agents or ointments on perfectly healed skin. They would only be applied to broken, cut, bruised, opened, or diseased skin. With that being known, it is vital that the Word of God be heard from the place of the wound. Do not listen to the Word of God as a person needless of a physician. Instead, open your soul, reveal your pain, recall the trauma, and let Him pour His healing Word into your distress. His love is manifested in a powerful way when the grief is wide open and void of resolve. It is here where Jesus will pour if you let Him.

Jeremiah wondered why his people were still sick. Jeremiah was black in disposition because of the condition of Israel (Jeremiah 8:20-22). Enough time had elapsed and Israel should have been healed because the Doctor was in their midst.  Israel was not well, because they did not open their wounds and allow God to pour His Word in to their pained and traumatized souls. You need the Physician! Open up. God has a Word for your Wounds. Remember, you are the clay In The Potter’s Hands. God has paved a way to save you today!
