Stay the Holy Course
“The Spirit makes it clear that as time goes on, some are going to give up on the faith and chase after demonic illusions put forth by professional liars. These liars have lied so well and for so long that they’ve lost their capacity for truth. They will tell you not to get married. They’ll tell you not to eat this or that food—perfectly good food God created to be eaten heartily and with thanksgiving by believers who know better! Everything God created is good, and to be received with thanks. Nothing is to be sneered at and thrown out. God’s Word and our prayers make every item in creation holy” (1 Timothy 4:1-5).
Truly we are living in an age where the principles of God are in drastic decline. The power of God is supreme and it is imperative that the saints of God remain intimately connected to Him. Demonic forces will continually pull at the carnal flesh, seeking to get the children of God off the Holy course. The sacrifice and death of Christ was not only the essence and act of true redemption, it was Christ pleading with humanity to select and become the elect of God. Without faith it is impossible to embrace God and begin a relationship with Him (Hebrews 11:1-6). Christian trust must be in God and not man. Humanity and the ploys of the world will throw you multiple obstacles, but like a skilled boxer, strategically keep moving with purpose and intentionality. Press toward the prize and do not allow forces of darkness to permeate your soul, filling it with discouragement. Stay strong and press because the Holy Spirit is your comforter and continually provides guidance and navigation.
God loves His children, despite the differences they may have with each other and stands on the fortified truth that the gates of hell will never prevail. Forces of evil will never defeat or overtake the love, power, grace, and mercy of God. Christianity is a practice of freedom and liberation. Despite the difficulty, listen to the advice of Jesus: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:43-45)
First Timothy 4:1-5 informs us of the difficult attitudes, positions, and dispositions that will exist in the world as it comes to a close. You will be impacted by such circumstances and all Christians will suffer persecution as part of their journey to heaven. Again, stay strong and stay the Holy course.
